In regards to the upcoming election, especially in the Legislature, I want to write about Sen. Bob Beach, D-Monongalia.
When I went to the state Capitol with a contingent from PACE Enterprises Inc., we met with Beach to discuss a bill that would have cut funding for transportation for individuals who have been at our program for five years and have not found a job.
I asked him to vote no on the bill because this would have been unfair to PACE clients and to PACE itself. He voted no on the bill and it did not pass.
He said, “As long as I’m here PACE will be open.”
