Janet Lee Weaver, 76, of Tunnelton, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
She was born March 10, 1942, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late John W. and Pearl Lorraine Anderson Simpson.
Janet was a long time resident of Tunnelton. She loved making quilts and she especially loved shopping and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved Christmas. It was her favorite holiday and she insisted on having all 50 people in her house. She spoiled our babies and gave the rest of us her opinions and advice.
Janet is survived by her husband of 57 years, Millard Weaver; one son, Mike Weaver and wife Robin, of Tunnelton; four daughters, Tammy Weaver Fox and husband Rick, of Alum Bank, Pa., Lori Shaver and husband Mark, of Tunnelton, Cindy Hodgkins and husband Jack, of Kingwood, Tina Knotts and husband Jeff, of Grafton; two sisters, Nadine Boyd, of Town Creek, Ala., Helen Sloan, of Burns, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Paul, Bob, Bill, Donnie, Dick, Willard and Ralph and three sisters, Ruth Messenger, Patricia Stone and Betty Taylor.
Friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home, in Kingwood, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 30. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery in Tunnelton.
