Louis C. (Bud) Hoey, 91, of Mt. Morris, Pa., went home to spend eternity in the presence of his Savior on July 23, 2018, at Mon Health Medical Center with his family at his bedside. Bud was born in Morgantown, on April 28, 1927, to the late Earl and Beatrice Davis Hoey.
Bud graduated from University High School, Morgantown Business College, and West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Bud was a veteran of the United States Army. After his service to his country, Bud worked for Consol as a prep plant supervisor at Humphrey #7 coal mine. His greatest devotion was spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the community and as an Elder at the Crescent Hills Bible Chapel.
He is survived by his daughters, Carol Allen, of Morgantown and Judy Powell and her husband Greg, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Zachary and Autumn Allen; and great-grandson, Benton; and many extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Hoey; and two brothers, Alfred and Oren Hoey.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 26 and from 10 – 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, with the funeral service to follow with the Elders of Crescent Chapel officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
