GALLERY 62 WEST: calls for work for the upcoming “6X6X2018” show, featuring work done in a 6-by-6-inch format. Stop in for a free canvas. The show will run through Aug. 4. EASTON ROLLER MILL: at Easton Mill Road, 300 yards from its intersection with U.S. 119, hosts tours of the mill from 2-5 p.m. on the fourth Sundays of each month, through September (July 22, Aug. 26 and Sept. 23). Last operational in 1940, the mill machinery will operate during the tours, with the mill engine turning wheels and connecting belts which power the grist stone, corn crusher, roller mills and elevators that carry the product from floor to floor during grinding and processing.

AUTHOR AND HOLOCAUST SUVIVOR CHARLES OTA HELLER: will give a talk and book signing for “Prague: My Long Journey Home,” at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at Preston Community Arts Center, 123 S. Price St., Kingwood. Heller was raised Catholic, unaware of his Jewish roots, even after his father escaped to join the British Army and 15 members of his family disappeared.
