CLARKSBURG — Andrew Berry and Cam Stoldt each slugged a home run among Morgantown’s 12 hits and Post 2 used three big innings to whip Clarksburg, 11-5, July 17, in American Legion baseball.
Post 2 took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, added four runs in the third to make it 7-1, then piled on four more runs in the sixth for an 11-2 edge.
Berry went 2-for-3 on the night with two runs, a pair of walks and an RBI.
Stoldt was 2-for-4, scored three runs and drove in two.
Ethan Smith also had two hits for Post 2.
Clay Maholic contributed a triple and two RBIs.
Caleb Taylor went five innings to get the win, allowing four hits, three walsk and two unearned runs. Evan Smith pitched the final two innings of the combined six-hitter.
Post 2 is scheduled to play host to Preston at 7 p.m. today.
