After the July 4 parade ended and we packed away our flags and campaign signs, something disgusting happened.
A coward threw eggs on the house of one of the candidates for House of Delegates. This isn’t the first time candidates or elected officials were targeted.
While we have separate campaigns and different views on many issues, this much we agree on: Hatred and intimidation have no place in Monongalia County.
Advocate for your viewpoints, ask questions, support candidates you agree with, and hold us accountable. But this type of behavior crosses a line and does not represent the good people of our Monongalia County community.
