MORGANTOWN — Meats, flowers and produce were among the pickings Wednesday at the weekly farmers market on the WVU Health Sciences campus.
Tomatoes, corn, cucumbers.
Marigolds, ivy and peppermint plants.
Honey, baklava and frozen cheesecake on a stick.
All were items for sale as shoppers walked around the tents and tables set up in the parking lot between WVU’s Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Cancer Institute.
There were also artisan items and a chance for a chair massage.
The markets are from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. each Wednesday.
In addition to foods and flowers, they feature a live performer from noon-1 p.m. each week.
Wednesday’s visitors enjoyed the music of Mountain Sugar. On July 18, Tom Batchelor will perform.
