Luella Pearl Johnson, age 90, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 10, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Luella was born in Bruceton Mills on May 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Ralph Waldo Emerson and the late Leona Rebecca (Teets) Emerson.
Luella worked as a seamstress for many years at the former Morgan Shirt Factory.
She is survived by her son, Edward Allen Johnson and his wife Mary, of Morgantown; her daughter, Dana Gerard and her husband Michael, of Morgantown; her son-in-law, Gary Frum, of Morgantown; her grandchildren, Bradley Johnson, Douglas Johnson and his wife Karen, Leslie Frum, Justin Gerard, Kayla Richie and her husband Jonathan, Beverly Utt and Roy Utt; great-grandchildren, Bradley Johnson, Jr., Desiree Johnson, Michael McGee, Cody Johnson and Michaela Johnson; great-great-grandchildren, Jordan McGee and August Richie; and her siblings, Frances Wolfe, of Morgantown, Goldie Rosati, of Ohio and Sue Hawk, of Pa.
In addition to her parents, Luella was preceded in death by by her husband, Dallas Ulysses Johnson; daughter, Frances Irene Frum; and siblings, John Emerson, Herb Emerson, Eddie Emerson, George Emerson, Irvin Emerson, Jean Arnold and Eva Lou Metz.
In keeping with her wishes, her cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Morgantown. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
