Ronald Jason Griffin, age 43, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Allegheney General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, following a period of declining health.
He was born July 16, 1974, in Morgantown, a son of Marshell Joyce King, of Fairmont, and the late Ronald Griffin.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Griffin and her mother, Kelly Martin, of Summersville; one son, Ronald Jason Griffin, Jr. and his mother, Jonelle Hamlin, of Morgantown; and four siblings, Angelique Griffin, of Greensboro, N.C., Desiree Griffin and Deanna Griffin, both of Chicago, and Leanna Griffin, of Winston-Salem, N.C.
Mr. Griffin was Baptized at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Morgantown. He was an outgoing person who knew no strangers and could strike up a conversation with anyone.
Friends may join Mr. Griffin’s family to honor his life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, in Morgantown, from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 and from 10 – 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, with the service to follow with Pastor Shirley Robinson officiating. He will be laid to rest at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
