Joanna M. Stoneking Stump, 79, of Mount Morris, Pa., died at 12:49 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born Thursday, Dec. 1, 1938, in Mount Morris, a daughter of the late Jesse Odell Stoneking and Virginia Brewer Stoneking.
Mrs. Stump was a member of the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and shopping. She loved all animals and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard F. Stump, whom she married June 8, 1957. Also surviving are three daughters, Deborah J. Stump, of Mount Morris, Sandy Fenstermacher and her husband, Steve, of Waynesburg, Pa., and Sherry Morris and her husband, Douglas, of Fairmont; two sons, Douglas F. Stump, of Mount Morris and Brian K. Stump and his wife, Michelle, of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Larry Stoneking and his wife, Sandra, of Mount Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Milliken and Throckmorton FH Inc., 324 Mount Morris Road, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. There will be additional visitation at the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God, 103 School Road, from 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, until the 11 a.m. service with the Rev. John Jackson officiating. Burial will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, in Mount Morris.
