Motorcycle crash leaves Reedsville man in critical condition

MORGANTOWN — A 68-year-old Reedsville man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash Monday morning.
Henry Grady Smith Jr. was taken to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with what appeared to be critical injuries, according to a press release from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were dispatched to the single-vehicle wreck about 11:30 a.m., the release stated.
According to witnesses, the Harley-Davidson Sportster appeared to suddenly leave the roadway and crash at the 144 mile marker on I-79 northbound, the release said.
Scanner traffic indicated Smith crashed into an embankment.
The crash it still under investigation and any witnesses are asked to call the sheriff’s department at 304-291-7260.
