Donna Ellen Wimer, age 55, of Morgantown, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
She was born September 1, 1962, in Morgantown, a daughter of Janice Annette (Simons) Wimer, of Morgantown, and the late Harold “Pete” Wimer.
Donna enjoyed spending time on her parent’s farm hunting squirrels. She also loved horses and watching old TV shows, especially westerns. Most of all, she enjoyed being around her family.
Along with her mother, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Diann Wimer Fowler and her husband David, and their children, Zachary and Cassidy; a brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Rebecca Nichols Wimer, and their children, Rachel, Nate and Jake; a great-niece, Laila Coles; and a nephew, Joe Studley and his wife Courtney.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ross and Joseph Wimer.
Friends may join the family to honor Donna’s life and legacy at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, in Morgantown, from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow being celebrated in the church with Father Patsy Iaquinta as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at a later date at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
A reception will follow the memorial mass in the church social hall.
