Bonita “Bonnie” Nile Corley, 83, of Morgantown passed away on June 29, 2018. She was born November 11, 1934, to the late Clint and Olive (Wright) Cairney.
Bonnie married the love of her life, Franklin (Pap) Corley on July 4 1954. They celebrated 64 wonderful and loving years together. They were married on Pap’s birthday, so he wouldn’t forget their anniversary.
Bonnie retired after 23 years from the WVU Department of Forestry. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially a good pool party. She also enjoyed a round of golf and loved watching the Mountaineers, the Pirates, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bonnie is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Padon and her furry companion, Sonny, of Charleston, Paula Corley and her furry companion Layla, of Fairmont, and Penney (Jeff) Bolyard, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Kari (Rasheen) Jefferson, Caitlen (Steve) Roberts, James Forsythe and fiancée Jessica, Sarabeth Rice, Danielle Bolyard, and Nicolette Bolyard. Her great-grandchildren Kelcie, Blake, Bryce, and Dru Viski, D’Anthonye Rice, Rasheen Jefferson Jr, and Zakare Stephens; and five great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Fred L Jenkins funeral home, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, July 2 and from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, with the service to follow with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
