Scotty Wayne Howard, of Crossroads, was called to his eternal home with the Lord on June 28, 2018, at the age of 67. He was born June 5, 1951, in Burton, the son of the late Ernest and Ethel (Yost) Howard.
Scotty was a retired coal miner of 36 years from Blacksville #1 and 2 mines. He enjoyed wood-working with his grandchildren and singing gospel music. He attended Ireland Chapel at Farmington.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Manoki (Manning) Howard; three daughters and their husbands, Julie and Allen Willis, Marsha and Jeff Gum, Diane and Scott Sine; seven grandchildren, Gwendalyn, Gage, and Greyson Willis; Gunner, Maverick, and Arrow Gum; Riley Sine; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kyle, Richard and Jimmie Howard; two nephews, Michael and Ricky Howard; a stepmother, Veldesta (Parker) Howard; and two stepbrothers, Kent and Jerry Parker.
Family and friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home, in Farmington, from 4-8 p.m., on Saturday June 30, from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, July 1 and from noon-1 p.m., on Monday, July 2, with funeral services to follow with the Rev. Richard Fluharty officiating. Private interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
