MORGANTOWN — A Monday Ethics Commission hearing regarding nepotism charges against Michelle Malone, manager of the River Road and Paw Paw-Route 19 public service districts, has been postponed. A new date has not been set, said Ethics Commission Executive Director Rebecca Stepto.
Asked if the postponement was connected to Morgantown Utility Board’s plan to acquire River Road PSD, Stepto said, “No other information may be released at this time.”
As previously reported, the acquisition means that employment will cease for River Road staff. Malone said she plans to seek full-time employment elsewhere.
