MORGANTOWN — This week’s WVU Core Arboretum Nature Connection Series talk, titled Discovering Life Through Birds, will be at 6 p.m. June 26 at the arboretum amphitheater. Bill Beatty, consulting naturalist and outdoor education specialist at Bill Beatty Nature, will give the talk.
He will share favorite stories from his book and his bird experiences.
Beatty, of Wheeling, is also a nature photographer and author. He has studied eastern screech owls for 28 years, and is an expert birder and botanist.
Local and regional experts on a variety of nature-related subjects give public talks at the Arboretum each summer as part of the WVU Core Arboretum Nature Connection Series. They are held at 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the arboretum amphitheater through late August. The talks are free and open to all, with no registration is required.
