Ruth Ellen Waters Marstiller, 90, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Morgantown on October 25, 1927, daughter of the late James and Nellie Waters.
Ruth was married to Ralph Marstiller for 64 years, who preceded her in death in 2012.
She was a graduate of Morgantown High and also a member of the Suncrest United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Ruth was a homemaker and raised three sons.
Ruth is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws Dennis Marstiller and wife, Faye, of Oak Hill, Fred Marstiller and wife, Meria, of Morgantown and Kenneth Marstiller and wife, Jeanette, of Inwood; eight grandchildren, Andy Marstiller, of Fayetteville, Lori Keller and husband, Jeremy, of Scarbro, Heather Bartlett and husband, Donnie, of Homestead, N.C., Carrie Mills and husband, Todd, of Morgantown, Benjamin Marstiller and wife, Mary Beth, of Morgantown, Erin Winters and husband, Steve, of Salem, Va., Christiana Lewin and husband, Aaron, of Martinsburg and Glenn and wife, Michelle Staubs, of Martinsburg; 14 great grandchildren, Elijah, Jaylen and Micah Keller, Isabella and Carson Bartlett, Braylie and Avery Mills, Alyssa, Brianna and Mason Winters, David, Juliet, Violet and India Lewin; four nieces; one nephew and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Harry and Margaret Headley and one brother, Jimmy Waters.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, in Morgantown, from 2-6 p.m., on Sunday, June 24 and at Suncrest United Methodist Church, in Morgantown, from 10-11 a.m., on Monday, June 25, with the service to follow with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating. Interment will be along her husband with graveside services at WV National Cemetery, in Pruntytown, at 2:30 p.m.
