Motorcyclist killed in Saturday crash identified

MORGANTOWN — Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department has indentified a man killed in a vehicle accident June 16 on Lazzelle Union Road.
According to a statement from police, Rodney L. Wilson, 56, of Mays Landing, N.J., died when his KTM motorcycle collided with a Freightliner truck at about 6 p.m.
The driver of the truck, Ryan Michael Miller, of Texarkana, Ark., was not injuried.
The truck is registered to Oakley Sales Corporation in Ohio.
Investigators for the sheriff’s department said Wilson was traveling southbound when he crossed the center line and struck the truck on its passenger side.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the sheriff’s department, at 304-291-7260.
Granville VFD and Mon Health EMS also responded to the scene.
