MORGANTOWN — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department reports a motorcyclist has died after colliding with a truck this weekend on Lazzelle Union Road.
According to MECCA officials, at about 6 p.m. June 16, crews were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Lazzelle Union Road, in the area of Crafts Run Road.
Al Kisner, chief deputy of the sheriff’s department, confirmed the accident involved a motorcyle and a cargo truck and that the motorcylcist died. He also said the rider’s family in New Jersey has been notified.
The sheriff’s department, Monongalia County EMS and the Granville Volunteer Fire Department were on scene.
