Accuweather: Expect high temperatures and high humidity for Father’s Day

MORGANTOWN — The heat is on for Father’s Day.
AccuWeather’s Dave Dombeck said to expect high temperatures and high humidity on the day that honors Dad.
The high on Sunday June 17 might reach 90 degrees, the meteorologist said, but with the added humidity, it will seem warmer than what the thermometer will actually read.
“With a temperature like that and humidity like that, it could feel like 97 degrees,” he said.
If it does, that will be in real weather-contrast to today June 15, he said.
Look for a pleasant 81 degrees today June 15, he said, with lots of sun.
“A nice, nice day,” he said.
Same for Saturday, with its continued call for sunny skies and highs of 85.
In the meantime, he said, if you don’t like the heat. Stay out of the Midwest and New England.
Weather patterns over those two regions have the potential to break some records in coming days, he said, particularly in Massachusetts, Maine and Connecticut.
Higher temperatures here move in Monday June 18 with the potential of rain Tuesday June 19, he said.
