MORGANTOWN — Monongalia County Commissioner Dr. Ed Hawkins will be the guest speaker at the Morgantown North Rotary meeting at 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Erickson Alumni Center.
Hawkins serves on the Monongalia County Planning Commission, Morgantown Monongalia County Metropolitan Planning Organization, Monongalia County Historic Landmarks Commission, and Monongalia County/WVU Extension Service. He is also active in 4-H and maintains a hobby orchard and a bee-keeping enterprise. Each year, he plants more than 100 to 200 trees to feed local wildlife and prevent soil erosion.
The public is welcome to attend Hawkins’ presentation. A light breakfast will be served, and there is free parking.
