KINGWOOD — The Preston County Public Service District (PSD) No. 2 will hold a meeting Wednesday June 13 to sign up customers for a new water extension.
The district, which is in the process of being acquired by the Kingwood Water Works, is planning to provide public water to residents on Long Hollow Road, Gamble Hollow Road, Concord Road and Oriole Mankins Road.
The meeting will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday June 13 at Kingwood City Hall.
Tim Rice, senior engineer from Potesta & Associates Inc., said the project is currently under design. He said the project will serve between 30 to 40 customers.
Estimates of the cost of the project, the line size and a final number of customers will not be available until the design is complete, he said.
Representatives from PSD No. 2 and Potesta & Associates Inc. will be at the meeting to answer questions.
Project maps will be available for the approximate alignment and limits of the water lines. A notary public will also be available.
Rice said work on the project will not begin until spring 2019.
Potesta & Associates Inc. is a professional engineering and environmental consulting service.
