H. David Pixler, 87, of Rockville, Md., died on Monday, May 28, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of the late Millie “Babe” Pixler; father of Dave Pixler and Tammy Pixler; proud granddad of Jasmine Pixler Skully (Dane) and PO2 Steffan Michael Pixler, USN. Along with his children and grandchildren, he is survived by many loving family members and friends.
Dave had never been in a hospital, including his birth, until now. He grew up in Morgantown and was in the Morgantown High School marching band. After a stint in the Navy, Dave worked at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. He was actively involved in politics, President of the Pool association and PTA.
In retirement Dave and his wife Millie (married 62 years), drove across the USA a few times in their van, with the personalized wheel cover “Millie & Dave”, and traveled overseas, their favorite destination was Alaska. Most important to Dave was Family and friends.
A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date, details to be announced.
