Zakory Thomas Casteel, 23, of Tunnelton, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Zakory was born July 9, 1994, in Morgantown, a son of William “Bill” Dale Casteel and companion, Aletha Gray of Tunnelton and Marie (Gribble) Smith and companion, Barry Burton Jr. of Kittanning, Pa.
He was a 2013 graduate of Preston High School and a 2016 graduate of Wyotech, in Blairsville, Pa. Zakory worked as a pipe fitter out of Morgantown for API and for Ace Hardware in Kingwood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and camping.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Seth Casteel, of Tunnelton; two sisters and spouse, Ashley Nichole (Casteel) and Brenton Thayer, of Kittaning, Pa. and Claire Gray, of Morgantown; three nephews, River, Bowie “Bo Bo”, and Malachi Thayer; paternal grandparents, Tyrone and Margaret Casteel, of Tunnelton; maternal grandparents, Tom and Wilma Gribble, of Kingwood; Grandma Clayton, of Clarksburg; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his cat Ashes and his dogs, Mia and Macey.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, from 3-6 p.m., on Saturday, May 19, with services to follow in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating. Following the service, cremation services will be under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Crematory.
