Mary Burnam Williamson-Maynard, 84, of Morgantown, passed away at Mon Health Medical Center, in Morgantown, on Oct. 27, 2017.
She was born Dec. 21, 1932, in Ellaville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Clark C. and Hattie (Arrington) Williamson, also of Ellaville.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Michael C. Maynard Sr., of Winder, Georgia, also precedes her in death.
Mrs. Maynard was a graduate of the University of Georgia, in Athens and resided in Atlanta and Macon, Ga., most of her life. She relocated from Macon to Morgantown during June 2009 to be closer to her family, where she remained until her passing.
During her time in Morgantown, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and witnessed her grandson earning his undergraduate and law degrees from West Virginia University.
Mrs. Maynard is survived by her son, Michael C. Maynard Jr., and her daughter-in-law, Kimberly H. Maynard, of Morgantown. She is also survived by her grandson, Austin M. Maynard, of Norman, Okla.
A graveside memorial service will be held in Mrs. Maynard’s hometown of Ellaville during May 2018. Per her wishes, memorial donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
