LAWRENCE, Kan. — The WVU baseball team scored 21 runs on 23 hits on the way to a 21-3 victory, at Kansas on Friday May 4.
The Mountaineers (24-19, 7-9 Big 12) had 11 players record at least one hit.
WVU’s 21 runs and 18-run victory are both program-records in a Big 12 Conference game.
Kyle Gray led the way and extended his hit streak to 20 games with a career-high-tying four hits and four RBIs. He hit his 10th home run of the season and 13th of his career and was a triple shy of the cycle.
Gray’s 20-game hit streak is the longest by a Mountaineer since Justin McDavid’s 21-game streak in 2010.
