Dolores Lee Donovan, 86, formerly of Morgantown, passed away Sunday evening, April 22, 2018, at Bayview Health Care Center, in Waterford, Conn.
She was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Mor-gantown, a daughter of the late William and Grace (Hull) Wolfe.
Survivors include her children, Judy Garvey and her husband, Joe, of Morgantown, Patty Staten and her husband, Tim, of Houston, Debbie Messier and her husband, Alan, of Waterford, and Brad McCrobie, of Waterford; her grandchildren, Joe Williams, Taylor Melton, Bobbie Rose, George Rose, Jody Summerfield and Sondra Breslin; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Donovan; a son, John R. Rose; sisters, Julia Rodgers, Irene Coleman and Martha Marple; and brothers, James and William Wolfe.
In her earlier years, Dolores worked at the former Sterling Faucet and Comuntzi’s Restaurant. She enjoyed gardening and bingo.
Friends may join Dolores’s family to honor her life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, in Morgantown, from noon Saturday, April 28, until 1:45 p.m. when a brief service will be held in the funeral home officiated by her son-in-law, Alan Messier, Deacon of Groton Baptist Church in Groton, Conn. Following the funeral service, Mrs. Donovan will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
