Adrian “Bud” Unmuth, 83, of Dilliner, Pa., passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at his home with his loving wife at his side.
Born in Appleton, Wis., on Dec. 31, 1934, he was a son of the late Martin M. and Alice Marie (Adrian) Unmuth.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Pharmacy, he served for a time with the U.S. Army Reserves. Bud owned his own drug store in Wisconsin, and later was the hospital pharmacist at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He then retired as the pharmacist at Krogers in Morgantown. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling all over with his family in their motor home.
Surviving is his wife, Deloris (Hardy) Unmuth; two children, Steven Unmuth, of Appleton, and Lisa Gartin, of Virginia; three stepchildren and their spouses, Dawn and John Hall, of Dilliner,
Tim and Emily Bubnick and Tom and Maren Bubnick, all of West Chester, Ohio; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Catherine Brown, of Dilliner; one brother, David Unmuth; and a sister, Dorothy Boogaard.
He was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who cared deeply for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Friends will be received at the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and from 10 a.m Monday, April 30, until the 11 a.m. service with the Revs. John Jackson and Fred Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow at Wolf’s Cemetery, in Dilliner.
