KINGWOOD — Morgantown High dominated a four-team track meet April 24, at Preston High.
The MHS girls ran up 116 points to 50 for University, 49 for Preston and 26 for Grafton.
On the boys’ side, MHS compiled 140 points to 45 for the Knights, 41 for the Hawks and 23 for the Bearcats.

TENNIS
The OVAC girls’ tournament begins today, with doubles, and wraps up Thursday, with singles, at West Liberty (or Wheeling Park Bubble if there’s rain).
Morgantown High’s girls all drew No. 1 seeds except for No. 1 singles player Emme McKnight, seeded second. The rest of the team: No. 2 singles, Cat Wassick; No. 3 singles, Vinitha Joseph; No. 4 singles, MacKenzie Sorton; and doubles teams McKnight and Wassick, Sorton and Bella Mascari, and Joseph and Ashalia Aggarwal.
BOYS’ LACROSSE
Morgantown 16, Fairmont 13: Cody Calvert collected five goals and three assists to help the Mohigans win late Monday. Hazen Powell scored four times, Ethan Host had three goals, Riley Kane tallied two, and Nate Goldcamp and Nate Fielding each scored once.
Noah Yohn contributed two assists, while Kane, Fielding and Daniel Stanton had one each.
Daniel Pastilong made two saves and Zander Carson four for MHS, which plays Wheeling Central Catholic on Thursday, at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Preston 13, Harrison County 6: CLARKSBURG — Dakota Holt compiled four goals and four assists, and Jaron Summers netted five goals Tuesday in the Knights’ victory Tuesday.
Austin Casteel, David Reckart, David Bourne and Tucker Knisell each scored once, with Casteel adding three assists and Reckart one.
Jeremy Hovatter was in goal and made 14 saves for Preston (5-2 division, 6-6 overall), which next plays at noon Saturday in a Senior Day game against St. Albans.
