Nonprofit to host Meltown at brew pub
Friends of Deckers Creek will hold its 12th Annual Spring Meltdown from 6 p.m.-midnight Saturday at the Morgantown Brewing Co.
The Meltdown is a silent and live auction featuring merchandise donated from local and international businesses, artists and artisans. The event will also feature live music and light snacks.
Proceeds will support Friends of Deckers Creek’s environmental education and watershed remediation programs.

Jubilee celebrates school’s anniversary
Cheat Lake Elementary School will hold its Silver Jubilee 25th Anniversary Celebration from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Cheat Lake Elementary School, 154 Crosby Road, Morgantown.
Come check out the rededication with refreshments, take a tour of the school and share memories.
Housing fair set for Saturday at mall
Community Housing Action Partnership will host this year’s Morgantown Housing Fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Morgantown Mall.
The Morgantown Housing Fair offers home hunters the opportunity to find property managers, realtors, lenders and others offering services and information about affordable and accessible housing all in one spot.
Activities and prizes will be offered for those who participate in the fair.

Transit authority recognizes drivers
The Mountain Line Transit Authority recognizes outstanding employee performance for March. After evaluation of 36 drivers in 14 performance categories, the authority honors John Blosser as Driver of the Month. The authority also recognizes James Smith, Tom Jones, Anne Cramer and Floyd Long for their top performances.
All of these employees are being celebrated for their demonstrated driving skills, safety, public relations, assistance to fellow drivers and maintaining route schedules in the course of their daily performance.
