Police respond to armed robbery at BB&T bank in Sabraton

MORGANTOWN — Morgantown Police responded to an armed robbery at the Sabraton BB&T bank, on Earl L. Core Road. The call came in at about 11:30 a.m. April 13.

The suspect is a white male, bald, 5 feet 8 inches, with a tattoo on his neck, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black baseball hat said Morgantown Police Chief Ed Preston. He left the bank on foot and has a silver handgun.

Morgantown Police said in a release that the case is currently under investigation and anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to call 911 or to contact the Morgantown Police Department Detective Unit at 304-284-7522.

The bank is closed the rest of the day April 13, but a bank representative said the bank will reopen for normal business hours Saturday April 14.
