Cheryl Lynn Voorhees, 61, of Anacortes, Wash., known to family and friends as Lynne, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born in Morgantown, on Sept. 1, 1956; the daughter of James and Marie Collins.
Lynne was proud of her West Virginia upbringing and being a Mountaineer. As a Navy wife, she lived all over the U.S. with longer tenure in Virginia, Florida and California before settling in Washington. She headed up the Human Resources Department of Dakota Creek Industries in Anacortes for 22 years before retiring in August 2017. She loved that job and the people she helped each day. Lynne was kind, compassionate and above all loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Collins; husband, Richard Alan Voorhees and granddaughter, Caydence Alexis Beebe.
She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Lynne and Amy Melissa and Richard Beebe; and grandson, Grayson Anthony Beebe, all of Anacortes.
