MARTINSBURG — The Morgantown High girls’ tennis team went 5-0, dropping just one match, April 6-7, at the Eastern Panhandle Mixer.
The Mohigans swept Jefferson, Greenbrier East, Musselman and Washington and defeated Woodrow Wilson, 6-1.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE
University 8, Berkeley County 6: Jordyn Snider and Sophie Armstrong netted three goals each to lead the Hawks late Friday. Mackenzie Slavensky and Morgan Crocco each tallied once.
UHS goalie Riley Phares stopped five shots.
University 8, Spring Mills 4: Mallory Napolillo scored five goals to pace the Hawks’ road victory Saturday. Jordyn Snider tallied twice and Mackenzie Slavensky once, and Olivia Wills contributed an assist.
Goalie Riley Phares made 12 saves for UHS, which plays host to Preston on Tuesday.
BOYS’ LACROSSE
Preston 9, Linsly 3 : WHEELING — Jaron Summers had five goals and an assist, and the Knights (3-2) defeated Linsly for
the first time in their 7-year-old program.
Dakota Holt and David Reckart each had a goal and two assists, Tucker Knisell and Austin Casteel had one of each, and David Bourne contributed an assist.
Goalie Jeremy Hovatter made 13 saves for PHS, which plays host to Wheeling Central on Tuesday.
TRACK
Rush Invitational: BLACKSVILLE — Clay-Battelle’s girls finished second to East Fairmont out of seven teams, and the C-B boys took third, behind Tygarts Valley and East Fairmont, out of eight teams in the meet late Friday.
Morgantown High’s girls placed fourth and the boys fifth.
