MORGANTOWN — Those April showers that everybody talks about could contain steady snow this weekend, AccuWeather’s John Gresiak said Wednesday.
A cold front April 6 has the potential to bring a storm on its coattails, which, in turn could bring the chance of 2-4 inches of snow on Saturday April 7, Gresiak said.
Yes, snow.
“Well, that’s what we’re looking at right now,” Gresiak said.
“This is coming off an interesting series of weather for you guys, from rain to gusting winds, to flurries. We’ve pretty much had it all.”
In the meantime, he said, look for a “quiet” day today April 5 with a high of around 46.
Friday April 6, he said, will start out seasonal with a high of 56 expected. Sunset, though, will bring a low of 28 — that cold front — and the potential for snow that comes with it.
If the snow arrives, Gresiak said, it will be steady for most of the day Saturday.
Winter’s last hurrah, perhaps?
“This stuff will break sooner or later,” he said.
