Clay District Fair Association taking order for hoagies
The Clay District Fair Association, in Daybrook, is taking orders for its meatball hoagie sale. Hoagies will be ready for pick up from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, at the Fellowship Hall of the Daybrook Methodist Church, 2552 Daybrook Road, Fairview.
Hoagies are $5 each. Orders are due by noon Thursday. Proceeds will benefit the 2018 Clay District Fair.

North Preston Area Watch hosting forum
BRUCETON MILLS — The North Preston Area Watch will host a candidate forum
6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the North Preston Senior Center, 13549 N. Preston Highway.
The public is invited to meet the candidates. There will be a question and answer session.

Wear Blue Day taking place this Friday

United Way Family Resource Network is participating with Prevent Child Abuse West Virginia in Wear Blue Day on Friday in support of all children in West Virginia.

Sheriff’s Department warns of scam
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents of a telephone scam in which individuals are portraying themselves as members of the sheriff’s department and informing then they have active warrants and need to report to the sheriff’s department.
Further, the victims were instructed to buy large amounts of loadable gift cards to pay bond for these warrants, then were instructed to read the number off the card for payment.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department stresses that no payments are ever made to the sheriff’s department for criminal fines and bonds.
