MORGANTOWN — After a month and a half of research, fourth-graders at Trinity Christian School presented their findings during a state fair on Wednesday morning, at the school.
Sarah Wolfe, a fourth-grade teacher, said each student picked a U.S. state to research and then spent time learning about the state, such as
population, state birds, mottos, capitals, interesting facts
and more.
All of this information was compiled into a research paper, she said, which helps the students learn about writing and researching skills.
“This is a long tradition here at Trinity,” Wolfe said. “I’m new here. I couldn’t tell you how many years we’ve been doing this, but there was a lot of excitement because the fourth graders have seen throughout the years all the other grades doing it. And they were very energized about showing off all that they have learned.”
