MORGANTOWN — The Ronald McDonald House of Morgantown hosted its annual dinner fundraiser with Luau on the Lake, a Hawaiian-themed murder-mystery dinner, at Crab Shack Caribba in Cheat Lake.
“Tonight is one of our annual fundraising events, it’s an opportunity for folks in the community to come out and participate in the event,” said Eleanor Reigel, executive director of The Ronald McDonald House.
Attendees were greeted with Hawaiian leis. There was a silent auction with items donated by local businesses. Cocktails were served followed by a dinner and murder-mystery show performed by the Ohio Valley Cloak and Dagger Company.
Later, there was a VIP after-party with entertainment, drinks, snacks and luau dances.
Tickets sold for $100 in December, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the dinner and silent auction benefited the Ronald McDonald House.
Abou 150 people were expected to be in attendance for the fundraiser and encouraged to dress in Hawaiian attire.
