KINGWOOD – A Tunnelton man appeared to faint in Preston Circuit Court Thursday when he was sentenced to one year in jail for each of two counts of conspiracy to commit petit larceny.
Ricky Lee Nelson Jr., 27, slumped in his chair with his head on the table when the sentence was handed down. Bailiff P. Rowan immediately checked on Nelson, who appeared to quickly revive, and court proceeded.
Nelson was indicted in March 2017 on charges of breaking and entering, burglary and two counts each of grand larceny and conspiracy. A plea agreement let him plead to the lesser charge, with the dismissal of a pending case in magistrate court.
