KINGWOOD — Unless there are more snow days, Preston County students will be out of school by May 25, even with making up days for the teacher work stoppage.
Preston School Superintendent Steve Wotring went over the make up schedule at the March 12 board of education meeting. It is also posted on the school’s website, prestoncountyschools.com.
Students will still be off March 30 (Good Friday) and April 2 for spring break, but teachers will work April 2. There will also be a two-hour early out April 16 for faculty senate meetings, and no school May 8 because of the primary election.
The last day for pre-k will be May 24, and the last day for other students May 25. Preston High graduation will be May 25. School staff will work May 29-31 and June 1.
“Now that will all change if we have more snow days,” Wotring said of the last days of school.
