MORGANTOWN — A motion to set aside a dismissed Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus filed by Frank Snider Sr., 81, was denied at a Mar. 7 hearing.
The petition was initially denied by court order in November of 2017. Snider and his counsel asked the court to set aside the dismissal so Snider could amend it.
Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney Perri Jo DeChristopher said the state objected and the motion to set aside the judgment should be denied.
Snider was sentenced in 2014 to 218 to 365 years for counts of rape, incest and sodomy. His sentence stems from a jury conviction of 20 total counts. He is convicted of abusing four girls in the 1960s and 1970s while the family lived in Mon County.
