CHARLESTON — The House Finance Committee unanimously approved late Wednesday afternoon an amended teacher pay raise bill, HB 4145, based on the agreement the governor announced Tuesday.
Teachers, service personnel and State Police will each get a 5 percent raise. The version sent up from the governor’s office proposed a 3 percent raise for State Police but the committee added another 2 percent.
The full House was expected to vote on it Wednesday evening.
