MORGANTOWN — Former Morgantown Mayor Charlene Marshall spoke to a crowd of people at the Morgantown History Museum on Saturday.
Titled “The African American Experience in Morgantown during the Years of Segregation and After,” Marshall spoke to a large, diverse crowd about growing up in Morgantown as an African American.
“It was great because so many people stayed and talked to Charlene afterward,” said Pamela Ball, founder and director of the history museum.
Marshall gave a PowerPoint presentation, exhibiting the schools she went to growing up in the county, as well as what the education process was like for African Americans.
