MORGANTOWN — Xavier Green is a 4-year-old who really knows his way around the Morgantown Public Library.
He likes books about butterflies, dinosaurs and Pete the Cat.
Pete, the blue-fur feline who plays guitar and says “Groovy” and “It’s all good,” in his popular line of children’s books, was the star of the proceedings Feb. 3 at the library.
The occasion was “Take Your Child to the Library Day,” which is held across the U.S. and abroad.
In Morgantown, youngsters learned how to navigate the stacks in a scavenger hunt for Pete, who is always popping his buttons in his books.
