MORGANTOWN — A man who police said participated in a dorm room robbery was charged with two felonies.
The Mon-Metro Drug and Violent Crime Task Force charged Alan Thomas Menendez, 19, of Martinsburg, with conspiracy and first-degree robbery. Krystin Rita Murphy was previously charged with conspiracy for her role in the incident.
According to his criminal complaint: On Jan. 6, Murphy bought marijuana from a victim inside WVU’s Dadisman Hall. She left, and three co-defendants, including Menendez, then went to the room, assaulted the victim and took items.
The three suspects fled and got into a vehicle driven by Murphy.
