Former Morgantown QB Holgorsen transfers to University

MORGANTOWN — Former Morgantown High quarterback Logan Holgorsen is now enrolled at University High and will play football for the Hawks next season, sources told The Dominion Post.

Holgorsen, the son of WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen, will be a senior next year. He played his first two seasons at MHS and was the starting quarterback as a sophomore, helping lead the Mohigans to a 10-3 record and state semifinal appearance.

Before his junior year, Holgorsen, a North Texas commit, transferred to St. Frances Academy, in Baltimore, to continue his football career, but transferred back to MHS four games in. He resumed the starting QB job and helped the Mohigans get back to the playoffs before a first-round loss to eventual state champion Martinsburg.

UHS will need to replace quarterback Clay Bailey, who finished his senior campaign with a second team all-state performance and helped the Hawks to a 11-1 mark.
