MORGANTOWN — Jada Brooks was the difference in the fourth quarter, as the Spring Mills girls’ basketball team kept feeding the ball to their 5-foot-10 sophomore forward to seal a 58-47 win over University High, on Jan. 7.
Brooks finished with a game-high 24 points and the Cardinals outscored the Hawks in the second half, 33-22.
Emily Garland added 18 points for Spring Mills (3-7).
UHS (5-6) was led by Ashten Boggs’ 13 points. Abbie Coen added 12 and Selena Jenkins scored 11. UHS will travel to Brooke, at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9.
