MORGANTOWN — Mountaineers coach Randy Mazey announced that the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history committed to WVU for the 2019 season.
The signing class of 15 is ranked No. 28 in the nation by Perfect Game, the best in WVU history and the first in the top 30.
The class includes eight pitchers, five position players and two two-way players. The class includes:
Ryan Bergert (Canton, Ohio/Glen Oak High).
Drew Britt (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West).
Alec Burns (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan).
Lawrence Butler (Atlanta/Westlake).
Austin Davis (Orlando, Fla./Conrad Academy).
Phillip Dull (Alum Bank, Pa./Chestnut Ridge).
Brock Helverson (Schwenksville, Pa./ Perkiomen Valley).
Madison Jeffrey (Barboursville/Cabell Midland).
Gabe Kurtzhals (Fort Worth, Texas/Boswell).
Jeremy Lapp-Barger (Sykesville, Md./Century).
Theo McDowell (Essex Junction, Vt./Salisbury School).
Zach Ottinger (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter).
