BLACKSVILLE — The Clay-Battelle boys’ basketball team needed four minutes to score its first field goal Dec. 15 against Hundred.
Once the Cee-Bees (1-1) got going, they were hard to stop.
C-B scored 54 points in the second and third quarters in pulling away for a 76-48 victory.
“I have a very young, inexperienced team,” C-B coach Josh Kisner said. “It took us eight minutes to get warmed up.
“The second quarter, we did a lot better running the offenses and hitting the fast break a little bit. In the third quarter, we put some pressure on them and finished off forced turnovers.”
Seth Casino scored 20 points, Levi Carrico 14, Gunner Brummage 12 and Coltin Barr 11 to pace the Cee-Bees.
Travis McCoy led Hundred with 20 points. Logan Norris scored 13. C-B plays again Dec. 19, at Paden City.
