Granville council discusses road issues at meeting

GRANVILLE — At the Granville town council meeting Jan. 23, representatives from the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce expressed their interest in including and informing Granville of what they’re doing in the community.

President and CEO of the chamber Stephen LaCagnin mentioned that the chamber was behind the Road Bond Amendment, which passed in Monongalia County 81 percent higher than anywhere else.

Granville has been experiencing many roadway problems, and the town’s inclusion with the chamber would put them on the DOH’s (Division of Highways) radar.

“A lot of change will occur in a relatively short amount of time,” said LaCagnin, referring to fixing Mon County roadways.
