Debra Lamp

Debra Ann Lamp, age 57, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, in her hometown of Morgantown, where she was also born on June 7, 1967.
Debra’s journey through life was marked with love, joy and the cherished company of friends and family.

She was the beloved wife of Jesse James Lamp III, with whom she shared 40 blissful years, a partnership characterized by mutual respect and endless affection.
Debra was a caring twin sister to Patricia Gray of Bayard, Grant County, a loving sister to Tina and husband Carl Conrad of Morgantown, and Shelia Alvarez and husband Mario of Virginia, and a dear sister-in-law to Milinda Shumiloff, Randy Lamp and Pam Jacobs, Linda Cunningham, Lillian Gerard, Susan Stallings, and Barbara and Bob Byuse; and a daughter-in-law to Ina Lamp.
Though preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Vera Shumiloff Spradlin, and brother Peter Shumiloff, her legacy of warmth lives on through her numerous adored nieces and nephews.

Known for her friendly demeanor, Debra’s presence was a radiant light within her community. Her passion for bingo and knitting was only rivaled by her love for family gatherings weaving tight-knit bonds of affection and laughter.

Debra’s absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Her memory, however, will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her, as a testament to a life lived with open arms and an open heart. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day.

Friends will be received at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road. Morgantown, on Monday, June 24, from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Bill Page officiating. Entombment will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery, where Debra will be laid to rest.
